Why Fort Collins plays

Fort Collins always makes room for one more.

Fort Collins already knows the magic of a regular place, a familiar face, and one more chair pulled up to the table.

We fit American Mahjong into the rhythm of life here: after a day on campus, a ride along the Poudre, an Old Town drink, or a foothills adventure. The game is the reason to meet; the people are the reason Monday becomes a tradition.

01 · Old Town

An easy night out in Old Town.

Welcoming gathering places where coming solo never means sitting alone.

02 · Front Range

Patio season or sweater weather, we're playing.

Patio tables when the sun stays late; warm indoor games when Colorado weather rolls in.

03 · CSU + community

Every generation belongs

Students, longtime locals, and brand-new neighbors learning from one another.

Nina at a Fort Collins American Mahjong table
Meet your Mahjong Queen

Hi, I'm Nina.

I moved here from Dallas, found my people through Fort Collins' Saddle Sisters, and fell hard for the weekly rhythm of mahjong.

When I couldn't find enough local tables, a friend suggested starting our own league. FoCo Mahjong grew from that simple idea: make it easy to learn, make every table welcoming, and help strangers become the friends they play with every week.
